This project will greatly enhance the nature trail in Antisell - a 14-acre area of land donated to the township of Marlboro with oversight from the Marlboro Open Space Committee.
This nature trail will be used by nearby residents, citizens of Marlboro and visitors. Along the route of the trail, the Rotary Club of Sunshine will provide and install three benches across the pathway to let visitors, particularly the elderly to rest, relax and enjoy nature.
The Club will also setup 5 trash bins across the route, which is 6 feet wide, and 1500 feet long, to make sure users can throw litter into those and keep the pathway clean. The Town of Marlboro will arrange regular removal of accumulated trash.
Tree plantation across the whole area under this project will make it greener, improve the environment and eventually provide shade. At least 20 trees of different species will be planted. The Town of Marlboro will take care of the trees as part of their Parks program.
All the benches, trash bins and trees will carry Rotary Logo visibly set.
The project will be implemented by the members of the Rotary Club of Sunshine with the collaboration of the local Boys Scout Group, and the Town of Marlboro.
The projected lifespan of the project is estimated to be 20 years for the benches, 10 years for the trash bins and more than 60 years for the trees, providing ongoing benefits to many thousands of residents, visitors, old and young.
