Many foster teens don't have drivers licenses and this will open employment opportunities for them as a class D license is required for many jobs.
Over a six month period the teens will:
Prepare for the permit test
Take the permit test online
Prepare for drivers test
Complete the 5 hour pre-licensing course
Complete the six 1 hour supervised driving sessions (complete additional driving sessions with volunteers)
Pass the road test
Project funds will cover the costs of the permit applications, driving school costs and road tests.
Club members will have the opportunity to volunteer to provide the teens with additional practice driving sessions and study the materials for the test.
