Project Description Country: United Sates Location: Craig CO Total Budget: $2,500 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: The PB&J program provides bags of food to qualified Children for the weekends. The PB&J program was started by LOVE INC to help supply needy children with food for the weekend. The bags are filled with nutritious food and the children pick them up from the nurses offices at their schools on Friday afternoons. The bags are purchased along with the food and food is put in the bags every Thursday morning and than delivered to the schools. LOVE INC started the program 6 years ago with just a few bags and now serves 97 students a week at a cost of $6 per student. They are turning the program over to Moffat County Advocates but need help covering the costs for the month of December before Advocated take over the program in January. Craig Rotarians currently work with LOVE INC putting the bags together and delivering them to the schools and this will continue for at least through the end of the year.
