Project Description Country: USA Location: Steamboat Springs Total Budget: $2,210 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Production of 5 educational videos using local stories for educating Routt County, CO on the current and expanding opioid crisis Routt County, while a small rural community, is not immune to the opioid crisis. Between 2000-2020, there were 6 overdose deaths; in 2021, there were at least 2 deaths. This project will enable the NWCO Health Partnership to develop a series of 5 short videos, containing real life stories about those directly impacted in our community by the use of opioids and especially the lethal distribution of synthetic Fentanyl. The videos will be used to educate our community through presentations and through the NW CO Health Partnership website. Club members will review the video and provide feedback and the videos will be shown during a regular meeting program. The project will be launch in January 2023 and will be completed by June 2023.
