Project Description Country: USA Location: Chicago Total Budget: $500 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services Summary: Providing individually packaged lasagna meals to approximately 140 elderly individuals in need The Club will be cooking meals for 140 needy elderly individuals who are clients serviced by the Chicago office of Little Brothers - Friend's of the Elderly (LBFE). This organization assists women and men who are 70 or older, who are aging alone. With the assistance provided, it allows the seniors to live independently as long as possible. In this project, Club volunteers will cook and package lasagna meals for delivery by LBFE for approximately 140 elderly individuals. The funds received through this grant will be utilized for the food materials and packaging.
