Project Description Country: USA Location: Lemont Total Budget: $500 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services Summary: Funding to pay for trees that will be planted by club members and the community at The Forge in Lemont IL. This is the application for the Rotary Service Project $500 District Grant Opportunity presented to Rotaract clubs in the Chicagoland area. The Rotaract club of Chicagoland Lithuanians would like to use the $500 grant opportunity to plant trees at the Forge in Lemont in celebration of earth day on April 22 from 10-4pm. The Forge has already confirmed their interest in this idea - our main contact is Heather Hutchison. Trees will be purchased through Atrium landscaping that will be planted around The Forge by the public and members of our club. The completion date of this project will be April 22nd, we hope to have between 10-20 members in attendance along with 50 or more people in attendance of The Forge's earth day celebration. The number of people impacted will be everyone in attendance that day along with individuals that go to The Forge throughout the year.
