This has become an annual project since our club's inception in 2017. We work with the local school district, who identifies underpriveleged elementary and junior high kids. The school district compiles wish lists from the kids and their parents and we provide gifts of approximately $50 value. We also collect funds to provide gift cards for older kids. These are kids who might otherwise not get gifts at holiday season. For our club, this is an important community service which promotes hope and peace. There is wonderful opportunity for fellowship as we get together to wrap the gifts and have a holiday dinner. This event is held at local winery, which supports us by matching funds we spend on wine and drinks, which we can then add to funds we collect for gift cards. Project will begin in late October, 2023 and be completed by early December, 2023. We anticipate providing at least 15 gifts this year.
