Summary: Create a 'Goodnight Utqiagvik' book to highllight the community and give to the Elders and to raise money for the 'Leader in Me' leadership program in the schools.
The Club will follow a process completed by several communities (i.e. Fayetteville, AR, Houston, TX) by creating a "Goodnight Utqiagvik" book that will follow the pattern of "Goodnight Moom" to highlight the unique features of our community. The service project is giving the books to the Elders in our Senior Center and then using a few to sell to the community. The profits will go into providing the LEADER IN ME program that has been started by our Rotary Club and sustained by the North Slope Borough School District. Expenditures will focus on teachers connecting to other communities where there are LEADER IN ME PROGRAMS.
