Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Blackfoot, ID

Total Budget: $2,000

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: School supplies provided to children at local schools in Blackfoot Idaho.

We will use the funds to purchase school supplies to donate to local schools in Blackfoot, Idaho. Several schools have mentioned that they have children who cannot purchase their own school supplies so we will be purchasing the supplies for those children. We will purchase the supplies and give them to the schools when school starts in August of 2023. Our Rotary club members will purchase the supplies and deliver them to the schools

Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)

Almost our entire Rotary club participates by sorting the supplies when they come in and taking them to each school. We take the supplies to eight local schools in two different local school districts. 2 Rotarians will make each delivery. We supply tissues, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer to each school.

D5400 Grants committee has reviewed your application and wants more description & clarity on the extent of Rotarian involvement. On the administration side of the description tab, click "edit project page", where you can write this in the addendum, describing the process of the number of Rotarians involved and specifically what they'll be doing. We intend to add your project to the district's block grant application to TRF, but will not fund your project until the addendum is provided. In the meantime, do not spend any money or order supplies, as you cannot reimburse yourself for incurred costs prior to approval of the block grant by TRF. Wait till you hear from us before you start spending. Thank you! Call if questions: 208 308-5617.

We purchased the supplies for the schools and then we delivered them to the schools on November 7, 2023. The teachers and students were all very grateful for the Kleenexes and Clorox wipes to help keep their students safe and healthy.
