Summary: Food provided to homeless children and youth in Fairbanks, Alaska.

There are approximately 800 homeless youth in Fairbanks. The Fairbanks Counseling and Adoption SOAP program helps 10-21 year olds who are at high risk of becoming or who currently are homeless. It provides transportation to resources and shelter, survival packs, youth activities, connections to a choice of counseling and education programs, peer groups & support, mediation and conflict resolution and referrals to community resources. We will provide food for this day program. Fairbanks Youth Advocates provides overnight shelter for 10-20 youth per night. We will provide food for this overnight program. Rotarians met with each group and developed a list of food needed for the programs and then purchased the food and delivered it to the programs.

Our estimated completion date is November 15, 2013.
