Summary: Basic living supplies provided to homeless families enrolled at Save the Family, a local non profit organization.
Save the Family is a non profit organization located in Mesa, Arizona. Their mission is to provide temporary housing and education to over 700 homeless families each year. Many of the families arrive at STF without basic living essentials e.g., bedding, towels, cooking utensils, dinner ware, etc. The Rotary Club of Fountain Hills will, in collaboration with the STF staff, use the Grant Funds to purchase and deliver needed supplies to approximately 50 of the incoming families. The process works as follows: When a new family is being placed in their custody, STF will assess their immediate needs and advise our Rotary Club. Club volunteers will then purchase the items using Grant funds and deliver them as directed. Approximately 6 - 8 Rotarians will participate until the funds are exhausted. This process usually takes 3 - 6 months.

Congratulations! This project has been approved for full funding. We need to do some administrative things, so we don’t know exactly when the money will hit your account, but our best guess is a month or so. We’ll send you an update when we have one. Please also remember that you may not spend money prior to TRF approval and reimburse yourself from grant funds. If there have been changes in your bank account (information for electronic transfer), please get that to Lucinda General (District Treasurer) as soon as possible. treasurer@rotary5495.org. Your report is due April 30, 2024, and receipts are required to complete the report (not invoices, cancelled checks, UPS shipping labels, or any other documents). Thank you for making the world a better place.
