Project Description Country: USA Location: Emmett, Idaho Total Budget: $7,934 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services Summary: Expand our community cardboard recycling effort The Emmett Rotary Club with our Interact Club and help from the community is currently serving 20 local businesses and 3 non-profits providing cardboard recycling collection services. We currently collect and process about 2200 pounds of cardboard every week. We will use the funds to maintain the equipment and trailers, pay for fuel for transporting the cardboard, purchase at least one more used trailer and 12 IBC totes so we can expand the number of businesses being served and keep more cardboard out of the landfill. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) The Rotary Foundation has approved a pivot from the purchase of a trailer to the purchase of two concrete tables for Emmett City Park.
