Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Ensenada Total Budget: $12,600 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: DENTAL AND EYE CLINIC ENSENADA ,MEXICO CHILDREN HEALTH Dental and Eye screening and care to underserved children in the rural Ensenada area of Mexico. The local Rotary Club of Califia identifies an underserved elementary school. We partner with Dental Care for Children and Manteca Optometric to conduct examinations and provide needed services. The funds are used to provide supplies, equipment, glasses for the participant's, etc. We see 120-300+ kids and 30-70 adults per day. We hold 2 one day clinics each year, one in March and one in October. Club members do everything. We help supply and replenish the dental van for the trip. We unload, set up, work as assistants to the docs, help manage the kids, clean up, tear down and reload the van for the trip home.
