Project Description Country: USA Location: Westmont, IL Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: Provide six scholarships to graduating seniors living in Westmont The cost of continuing education has risen. We want to help defray the cost for deserving students. We will send applications to area high school counselors where Westmont students are attending. We have academic, Vocational/Technical and Interact scholarships. The applications will be returned by February 1, a committee of our Rotarians will review the applications and rank them. That list will be submitted to our board for approval. The finalists will be notified and invited to a luncheon in April where they will give a brief overview of their activities and future plans. Scholarships will be awarded at the schools' awards ceremonies in May.
