Project Description Country: Mexico Location: Poblado Miguel Aleman Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: School desks and chairs for 50 students for their school in Poblado Miguel Aleman A new school and Community Center is being built in Poblado Miquel Aleman to serve 50-75 children that have reached school age so that they can learn basic reading and writing skills. There is another school on the west side that is closer to Hermosillo but it is overcrowded. The school needs desks and chairs and this grant is to fund that purchase. Rotarians from Tempe South Rotary Club and Club Rotario Hermosillo Milenio as well as community members will assemble the desks and chairs for the students.
