Project Description Country: USA Location: Nampa, Idaho Total Budget: $10,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: The Nampa Rotary Club has pledged to donate technology and/or educational software for educational learning to the newly constructed Nampa Library The City of Nampa is gaining a new library this next year. As this is a lifetime legacy opportunity, the Nampa Rotary Club would like to sponsor a room that is dedicated to technology learning with naming rights. Our club will raise half of the sponsorship cost and is seeking a district grant for the other half of the project. The beneficiaries will be all citizens that utilize this facility for many years to come, exposing them to Rotary and enabling learning through technology. The grant money will purchase technology and/or educational software for this room/space. We have requested a grant from the Rotary Nampa Community Fund, which was granted - $1,000. We have solicited funds from the Sunrise Rotary Club and are pending their response. Regardless, we have dollars set aside but the construction timeline for the library does not warrant delivery of our gift yet. The Sunrise Rotary Club has committed $1000, and the Nampa Rotary Community Fund has committed $1000.
