Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health
Activity Type:
Health: General
Summary: Comfycozy Care Gifts and room decoration for 13 children in recovery their rooms after receiving cancer treatments..
Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels will provide gifts and room decoration, in the transplant rooms, for 13 children who have just received cancer treatment and other life threatening diseases.
When a child receives a transplant, there is a lot of anxiety surrounding the journey because of how invasive the procedure is.
AHRA will be able to provide a space in the child's hospital room that feels safe and celebratory for the transplant they are receiving. Each child's room will look different based upon each child passion and interest.
The goal of these decorations, that will return home with each child, provide a distraction and comfort to the child.
Our project timeline is for September 2023 thru Dec 2023.
Rotarian of Rotary Club of Scottsdale North will participate in this project by preparing the grant with the recipient, shepard the grant thru the grant process, and RCSN Rotarian will meet with the transplant recipients and their families to judge their satisfaction.

Thank you for your application. To complete it, 1. Please submit your club's signed MOU. 2. Please edit the project description to show active Rotarian Participation 3. We'll need to resolve the issue of last year's report - We are awaiting instructions from Charlie Tegarden on that.

Congratulations! This project has been approved for full funding. We need to do some administrative things, so we don’t know exactly when the money will hit your account, but our best guess is a month or so. We’ll send you an update when we have one. Please also remember that you may not spend money prior to TRF approval and reimburse yourself from grant funds. If there have been changes in your bank account (information for electronic transfer), please get that to Lucinda General (District Treasurer) as soon as possible. treasurer@rotary5495.org. Your report is due April 30, 2024, and receipts are required to complete the report (not invoices, cancelled checks, UPS shipping labels, or any other documents). Thank you for making the world a better place.
