Project Description Country: USA Location: Peoria, Arizona Total Budget: $6,809 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionaries will be distributed to all 3rd Graders in 24 elementary schools within the Peoria Unified School District This is a long term, annual project facilitated jointly with the Rotary Clubs of Peoria North, and Peoria, along with the Peoria Unified School District, impacting approximately 1708 (estimated) 3rd grade students, in 24 for schools. Project funds will be used to purchase 1708 Student Dictionaries, along with an additional 20 in event additional students on school roster not currently accounted for. Once grant is approved, dictionaries will be ordered/delivered. In mid-September, both clubs will meet to label all dictionaries with the Rotary 4-Way test name label, and will be distributed to the 24 classrooms by end of November 2023.
