Summary: Two college-bound students from Woodridge will be selected to receive $2,000 scholarships based upon their academic performance and service activities during high school.
Local high schools send a large group of graduates to college each year. Many of these graduates need financial support for college. We also wish to promote the principles of Rotary by recognizing these young folks for their commitment during high school to "service above self." Through contact with many area high schools, our four member scholarship committee invites applications for these two scholarships. The committee reviews the submission of all the applications and chooses the two applicants who have financial need and best demonstrate a commitment during high school to serve others. At our annual recognition dinner, we salute the students and parents.
