Project Description

Country: Ukraine

Location: Kyiv

Total Budget: $6,378

Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention

Activity Type: Peace: General

Summary: 20 solar panel USB charging stations will be shipped to Rotary Club in Ukraine

The Ukrainian people are suffering electrical outages very often, and cannot charge their phones and other USB electronic devices. They need these devices to stay in communication with friends and family, get news, and also to keep up to date with the war effort. We will partner with a Rotary Club in Ukraine to provide 20 solar panels that have been retrofitted to power a 4 USB device charging station. The Ukrainian Club will distribute these charging stations based on need, as they deem what the highest need and priority are.

Shurie,

Your per capita qualifies you for $5,000. Grant 4607 is requesting $2,500. Do you want me to cancel that one? Also your President needs to submit the district grant training questions. Once we receive those we will send you the MOU to sign as well. The link to the questions is https://rotary5440.org/page/district-grant-qualifications.

Also, your PE needs t sign the grant as well as yourself. If you can't add him I will cancel the signature process so you can add both of you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Shurie,

The club mailing address in the description needs to be a PO Box unless the club doesn't have one.

Hi Randy,

Our President Elect is Mark Manig- and I believe I did have him listed for signature on the grant. He also did email back the questionnaire last week. Because you cancelled the signature process, do we both need to go in and re-sign the grant then?
