Project Description Country: USA Location: Placentia Total Budget: $2,668 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: PLACENTIA To provide backpacks and school supplies to approximately 80, grades 1 thru 12, residing in an at-risk low-income neighborhood of Placentia. These students' families are participating in a non-profit program known as LOT318, which seeks to deter the youth from gang activities by staying in school. The backpack and school supplies will be filled and distributed by Rotarians prior to the start of the school year in late-august.
