Project Description Country: USA Location: Grand Island, NE 688003 Total Budget: $604 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Community economic development Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Create a safe place for children of survivors to play and be able to 'just be a child' in a trauma filled dynamic The safe home is a place where survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking can stay and be safe in the midst of abuse. There is a play ground set at the home; however it is no longer safe for children to play in all areas of the set. We are requesting dollars to help purchase a newer and safer set where all areas can be used to play for all the children. Playing is an outlet from abuse and trauma. The timing for this project is to purchase a new playground set as soon as possible. It's nice weather and being outside is such a good way to get Vitamin D also. Then, depending on how the playground set is purchased, there may be set up needed which could involve the club members.
