Summary: Build a House for an impoverished family in Tijuana
Project Mercy, a 501(c)(3) organization constructs homes to improve the basic living standards and quality of life for impoverished families who live in conditions precarious to their health in the shantytowns of the colonias east of Tijuana Mexico. Over the years, Encinitas Rotary has partnered with Project Mercy to build a number of basic sturdy wooden homes by providing funds for materials, as well as Club members providing volunteer construction labor to build a "House in a Day." This project will build a home for an impoverished family - project cost: $7000 consisting of $4000 from Encinitas Rotary with a requested District Matching grant of $3000
