Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $1,400 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarship Summary: By sponsoring 2 students from 8th grade for LEAD and 2 students from 11th grade for RYLA, we are helping the students become more leaders in there school, community and family; promote values that will help them be better citizens in there society By sponsoring 2 students from 8th grade for LEAD and 2 students from 11th grade for RYLA, we are helping the students become more leaders in there school, community and family; promote values that will help them be better citizens in there society and get them involve in Rotary (Interact and Rotaract) Creating leadership in our local students helps them be more engage with the society, improve their understanding and figure out there future pathway involving collage degree and family involvement. This grant will be used to help fund 2 students going to RYLA April 12-14 2023 (2 x $400 = $800) and 2 students to LEAD on October 14-15, 2023 (3 x $300 = $600). Members from Chula Vista-Eastlake Rotary will be involved in all of these activities as facilitators.
