Rancho Santa Fe Rotary is seeking partners to participate in a Rotary District Grant provide funding to the non-profit occupational training organization, D'Vine Path, with the purchase of equipment and supplies for its floral vocational training program. This District Grant will help purchase shop supplies such as a refrigerator, shelving, stands, and a utility sink. It will also assist with the purchase of classroom equipment such as tables and chairs.
Located in the Fallbrook area of San Diego County, D'Vine Path is a dynamic and comprehensive year-round program that provides vocational and life skills to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in agriculture, hospitality, and the arts. D'Vine Path's programs are designed to help individuals identify, develop, and achieve their goals while exploring opportunities to advance their education, employment, life skills, health, and well-being. D'Vine Path actively seeks support and work opportunities for its students in the arts, agriculture, viticulture, and hospitality industries.
D'Vine Path consists of five different areas of focus, individually tailored to the needs of each participant:
1. The LEAFF Program
2. The Cordon Program
3. D'Vine Path Art Studios
4. The Culinary Journey
5. Trellis Viticulture Program
Each program is adjusted to serve varying levels of ability. All programs incorporate hands-on curriculum, expert guest speakers, workshops, and academic curriculum in their specific topic.
D'Vine Petal is the newest addition to D'Vine Path's programs. It's comprised of both classroom and a floral shop training, allowing students to integrate their instructional learning with hands-on experience and exposure to industry practices, expanding their vocational development in hospitality and customer service. programs are adjusted differently to serve varying levels of ability.
D'Vine Path was incorporated in April 2019 to help adults with developmental or intellectual needs, and their families, bridge the social and cultural barriers that can negatively impact the student's physical and mental health, and employability. Since its inception, the program has expanded to 28 full-time students at a time and has impacted over 900 people throughout San Diego County. Last year, 71% of D'Vine Path's participants found part-time or full-time employment. 100% of their participants have achieved healthy and meaningful relationships.
