Project Description Country: USA Location: National City Total Budget: $2,200 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Activity Type: Health: Volunteer Services Summary: Offering basic hygiene and friendship to our neighbors without homes through the dignity of a hot shower We plan to support the non-profit, San Diego Rescue Mission, that provides hot showers to the many homeless in our community. To run these showers, it cost $2200.00 a month. They provide, the trailers that have 4 showers, toiletries, towels, clothes etc.. they are provided each week. National City Rotary wants to sponsor 1 month of this cost. Provide a sense of dignity to homeless who want to receive help in our community to create a desire to receive the help they need to move above their circumstance. We will ask for sponsorship and plan a big community event with finger foods and raffles, to introduce this new project in our community.
