Project Description Country: USA Location: Bedford, TX Total Budget: $2,686 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Activity Type: Education: Volunteer Services Summary: The PTA Clothes closet (On the HEB ISD property at the FEW complex in Bedford) provides 6 days of clothing for students in the greatest need. The needs met are for students and student's families (if there are other younger siblings). The items allow for students who are in the greatest need to have a change of clothes and not have to wear the same clothes for days in a row. The donations include new undergarments, socks, shoes and an outfit for each day. Students who have their basic needs met have a greater chance to learn and gain an education. The students are discreetly approved by the school district. The PTA Clothes closet also works with our Homeless population directed by Ellen LeBue. The timeline for this project is year round. The summer is used to restock items and organize the closet. Appointments are made throughout the school year for families to come and receive items. Our club members have the opportunity to give items and money to further their cause.
