Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington, Texas Total Budget: $2,036 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: Purchase Peace Pole(s) for City Park(s) Rotary Club of Arlington started the Park System in Arlington donating purchased land. One of the first parks was Meadowbrook Park. Meadowbrook is Celebrating its Centennial in 2024. The project is to mark the occasion to purchase and install Rotary Peace Pole in the park with appropriate landscaping with languages that identify with the City of Arlington racial demographics makeup. Upon receipt of the grant, the Peace Pole will be purchased and installed and landscaped in a predetermined location by the City of Arlington Parks Department. Rotarians will work with City of Arlington Parks Department personnel during the design and insulation process.
