Summary: Nine holes of Frssbee Gold at Allinger Park in Montpelier, Idaho fo individuals and families.
The Club was approached by Bear Lake Memorial Hospital to partner in the installation of a Frissbee golf course as yet another outdoor activity for the citizens of Montpelier to engage in. A secondary need is; the City hosts softball and baseball tournaments throughout the summer that are well attended by player's families. This Frissbee Course will provide an activity for those families at the same park as the tournaments. Construction will occur in the summer of 2014, with club members installing tee boxes, signage, and targets.
Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
The course has been constructed in the Wells C. Stock City park instead of the Allinger Park because there was more room and more tree obstacles. As a result, the Hospital could not assist with funding. The Car Show Board, which the Rotary Club sponsors, and which holds their annual car show in the Wells C. Stock Park, is providing $1000 towards the course. The targets are costing a lot more than budgeted but the Club has the reserves to cover the additional cost.
