Project Description Country: USA Location: Estes Park Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Paint for Junior & Senior parking stall project to motivate school attendance while instilling teamwork, pride and self-esteem in Estes Park, Colorado There has been very high absenteeism among junior and senior high school students in Estes Park. In order to motivate students to attend school, Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary would like to help local high school junior and senior students with paint for their own parking stalls. This allows students to express themselves while also building Teamwork, Pride and Self-esteem and a sense of worth within the Student. Having the freedom and creative liberty to your very own parking stalls is one thing that seems to always pump up students, even if they would not necessarily consider themselves an artist. This project go along with Rotary's Basic Education and literacy area of focus (ie: Encouraging kids to stay in school).
