Education: General
Summary: Project provides life skills books to each Alaska Military Youth Academy (AMYA) graduating student
The AMYA works with highly at risk youth (15-18 years old) from all over Alaska. These youth are deficient in most skills required for active contribution in today's world, including academic achievement and social interactions. Graduates have a better understanding of their individual worth, value to their community, and way ahead for a productive life. This program/grant will provide each graduate with reading materials reinforcing the concepts they learned at the Academy and supporting their return to their communities.
