Project Description Country: USA Location: Fairbanks Total Budget: $6,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: to supply blankets, backpacks, clothing and food to the Fairbanks Youth Advocates homeless shelter Fairbanks Youth Advocates is a new non profit in Fairbanks providing shelter, food and clothing to homeless youth between the ages of 13-17, both male and female. They are in need of blankets for 10 beds, backpacks, socks and belts, and pantry supplies like milk, eggs, rice, canned food, non perishable snack foods and fresh foods. Our Rotary club would be recognized with our logo in the building as supporting the shelter. Our club members would do the shopping and bring the items to the shelter. We would match the amount requested by holding our annual golf tournament. We would also like to give them some cash to support the purchases already made for furniture. The Fairbanks Youth Advocates shelter is our designated charity this year from the proceeds of the tournament. All member of our rotary club would work on the tournament.
