Project Description Country: USA Location: Girdwood, Alaska Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Adam's Camp Alaska Adam's Camp Alaska is a new camp that provides intensive, multidisciplinary therapy program for children ages 4-12 years with developmental delays including, but not limited to: autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. Campers benefit from one-on-one therapy that is focused on an individualized goal-centered treatment plan through Alaska adventure activities (rock climbing, rafting, hiking, wildlife viewing and more. Club members will sponsor a fundraiser that will match district grant funds to Adam's Camp Alaska to provide for equipment, supplies and participation.
