Project Description Country: Canada Location: Canada Total Budget: $3,500 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Imagination Library The Imagination Library is an on-going project that provides a book/month to every child born in the Yukon (who registers) until they reach the age of 5. The club has been supporting this project since its inception and has partnered (and receives funding) with the Yukon Government, the Literacy Coalition and Yukon College in supporting the program. The club has an annual commitment to the project of $10,000. The project is entering it's six year and while no formal study has been undertaken, the ad-hoc results from Kindergarten Teachers has been that the project has succeeded in better preparing the children for school.
