Project Description Country: Malawi Location: Blantyre Total Budget: $6,000 Area of Focus: Water and sanitation Activity Type: Water: Supply/Access Summary: Fresh Water well for the living accomdations for the students and Orthopedic Officers at the Cure Hospital provide a fresh water well for the dormitory/hostel living accommodations for the students and Orthopedic Clinical Officers who are in training at the CURE Hospital. the Cure Hospital is the only Hospital in Malawi equipped and staffed to handle crippled children and other complicated orthopedic problems in the country I have personally worked at the CURE Hospital over the last 15 years and can attest to the need for this project ....the City supplied water source is unreliable, continually failing and is very expensive a successful Bore Hole was completed at the CURE Hospital itself in 2010/11 a full engineering and cost report is available on request Project Contact Person District: 5340 Rotary Club of: San Diego Primary Contact: Bill McDade MD Email: bmcdade@msn.com Project Status Completed This project is "Completed".
