Project Description Country: USA Location: Anchorage Total Budget: $10,800 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Pink Cancer Awareness Fire Truck We have permission from the Municipality of Anchorage to repaint a back up fire truck Pink for cancer awareness. All types of cancer will be recognized, not just breast cancer but the color used will be pink as it is the most recognizable. Multiple color cancer ribbons will be painted on the truck as well as the Anchorage South Rotary logo. Admin has approved the Rotary logo. The truck is a relief truck that rotates to other Anchorage fire stations as fire trucks are repaired or upgraded. It will be seen and noticed daily. Many cities have a pink fire truck and they are loved. Total costs run $12, 500. Anchorage South is looking for a $2,500 match. We will raise the rest thru various fundraisers in the next 6 months.
