Project Description Country: USA Location: Peoria, Arizona Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Education and teach children from 2-4 years water safetly to prevent drowning through Josh the Otter From April through May 2015, Peoria Rotary and AZ E Club are planning on have a one day preventive project to present the Josh the Otter bilingual book with CD. We will have the Peoria Fire Department, First thing First, and other agency that provent drownin of children from the ages of 2-4. We will hold this event at a part or high school with a swimming pool. Living in Arizona, there are a lot of deaths due to drowning. This program will provide literacy since each child receives the book and CD and it aloso provide health needs to provent drowning. PR will be handle through Glendale Star, Peoria Times, Fire Department, Club website, Elementary schools in the Peoria School District and other media venues including First things First.
