Project Description Country: USA Location: Curtis NE Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Directional sign provided to guide people using our walking trail in Curtis NE, this is a community improvement project that will benefit the community as a whole. The Community of Curtis, NE is installing a walking trail to encircle the town to encourage exercise and enjoyment of the outdoor in the community. This is a multiple phase project and we aided this project last year with the setting of a bench for resting part way down the first portion of the trail. This next year it has been brought to our attention that directional signage for the trail would be very helpful for those new to the area as it is now unmarked for the most part. With the aid of a district grant we feel this could be accomplished in the next year. Our first item will be to determine the number and exact sign style needed to make this most beneficial. I believe this project could e completed in 6 months from decision to installation along the trail.
