The Club Video and Radio Academy (CVRA) will establish a lab and studio setting that can accommodate a multimedia development environment where both children and teens perform age appropriate grade level instruction with state of the art hardware/software with an instructors and multi-media interns. The program will teach video and audio production, photography, and graphic design while encouraging creative expression, and use of digital tools and professional software to create and edit footage, recordings and photos, presented in 7-week sessions. The CVRA will result in the creation of both studio and "mobile" lab that can be used throughout the community. Club youth will be able to use their equipment for a variety of community projects to showcase their Club's community outreach and community service projects in Brea.
At the end of each 7-week session, children and teens will independently or collaboratively complete an age appropriate final project. An example of a final project would be a short online video series (30 seconds - 1 minute) to help tell our story to the public, and participants will have the opportunity to showcase digital creations at a community screening and exhibit. . The Club Video and Radio Academy (CVRA) program funds will be used specifically to purchase equipment and stipend instructor.
