Summary: Dictionaries provided to all 3rd graders in the Carlsbad Unified school district
This project addresses the need for literacy by giving 3rd graders their own dictionary to keep, including Spanish/English dictionaries for Spanish speaking students. These dictionaries will be delivered to classes by our club members in the Fall of 2014-2015 school year.

The District 5340 Rotary Foundation Committee approved the request for DDF match of $1000. for this District Grant. A check will be sent to the Club at the address provided when the DDF cash is received from The Rotary Foundation. The Carlsbad Hi-Noon Club is to be commended for this project. Check with the Encinitas School District to ensure that Spanish/English dictionaries are appropriate for the third grade.
