Summary: Providing and installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in homes of Carlsbad, CA seniors
Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary members will partner with the Burn Institute of San Diego to identify seniors (age 62+) in the Carlsbad community who are in need of smoke and/or carbon monoxide detectors to help them to continue safely living independently. Hi-Noon Rotarians will install these detectors as well as find out if there are additional household projects that the recipients need that we can effectively help them with. This will allow us to not only provide needed service but also companionship and fellowship with those who don't have friends or family available to help them.
The estimate is to install an average of two devices per home at a cost of $40 per device in 5 homes per month for 10 months, September through June.
