Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Economic and community development Activity Type: Community Development: Renovation Summary: Improve and update the mens Dormatory of the Arlington Life Shelter We plan in the Fall of 2014 to repaint, and provide new linens and bedding to the Arlington Life Shelter men's dormitory. The Arlington Life Shelter provides homeless men, women and children with safe overnight housing, dinner and breakfast and access to help with job seeking and long term housing needs, tutoring for children, and life skill training and education needs. Members of Arlington North Rotary will purchase paint and painting supplies and repaint the walls of the men's dormitory, repair flooring, purchase and remake beds with new linens and pillows, and replace needed furniture that is broke or worn. The Arlington Life shelter provides overnight housing to upto 100 men, women and children each night free of charge.
