Project Description Country: USA Location: Decatur Texas Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: Three scholarships to be awarded to graduating seniors of Decatur High School. Each year students graduate high school with hopes of attending college. The matching grant funds will allow the rotary club of Decatur to award three one thousand dollar scholarship in May of 2015 to students chosen from applications for the scholarships. A club member will work with the school counselor to distribute and collect applications. A committee of three to five rotary club members will select the three students to receive the scholarships.in the event that there are not three qualified applications to award three scholarships the funds will be equally divided between the number of qualified applications received.
