Activity Type:
Community Development: Volunteer Services
Summary: Housing appliances supplied to Southeast Idaho Community Council Agency for homeless Veterans
SEICCA currently maintains 2 homes where they house homeless Veterans that reside or pass through the Pocatello area; Jefferson House and Freedom Landing Zone. Items that are in need of replacement are a stove, hood vent, washer, dryer, coffee pots, pots, pans and frying pans. Other such items needed for the Veterans are clothing, coats, shoes, shampoos, combs, brushes, soaps, etc. These items will be available to our Veterans through our Club Project, Rotary Helps. Nearly all of our club members participate in this project through out the year. We also have the support of our other 3 clubs from Pocatello who give to the same project.
The needs for SEICCA for the Veteran homes are currently listed as shown above. We discussed any needs for our Veterans and these items are just what they need. Idaho State University is gearing up for their Stand Down which support's Veterans and will help them with needs such as dental check up, hot breakfast, showers if needed, clothing, etc.
Our project timeline is approximately 1 month from the date of receiving funds for our District Grant. The need for electrical or duct work is already in place. Time is needed only to purchase the items and to deliver and set up.

Hi Dena, the district has some left over money for the block grant and are considering the grant request that were incomplete. Please complete the financing tab showing how much the club has contributed to this project. Putting down the district could award up to $825 for this project, which would leave the club to contribute $1,475.00. I would like a response back no later that February 15th, or the money will go to another request.
