Project Description Country: USA Location: Escondido, CA Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: To provide low income students in the Escondido Uniom School District with reading books that they will be able to keep. The Rotary CLub of Escondido has partnered with the Escondido Charitable Foundation to not only provide books for the 9 Title I schools in the Escondido Union School District. In addition to providing the books for the children, Rotarians and Escondido Charitable Foundation members will participate in a volunteer reading program in the K-3rd grade classrooms at the 9 schools in Escondido, CA. We will be purchasing our books from Rolling Readers.
