Summary: Clothing and shoes provided for 100 orphans in Gilbert Christian School, Haiti Orphanage/School
On October 11,2015, several Rotarians, including President Darren Donaldson will depart from DFW to Miabalais, Haiti to deliver and distribute clothing and shoes for 100 orphans at the gilbert Christian School. Weatherford Rotarians have been involved with this school for about 18 months, traveling to the school 4 times. The cost is approximately $30 per child, broken down: $10 per pair of shoes and $20 per clothing for 100 children. The shoes and clothes will enable the orphans to attend school as well as giving them a personal sense of pride in their appearance, helping them to focus on their school work. The Rotarians will be on the ground in Haiti for one week giving assistance to the school and the orphanage. Working in the kitchen to help prepare meals for the children, helping to organize the school and working with teachers. The Weatherford Rotary Club is requesting DDF for $1500 and the Club has the matching funds
