Summary: The Lockney Senior Center provides meals, activities and fellowship for senior citizens in Lockney. The building is also used for a variety of community activities. The leaking roof is causing damage inside the building.
One of our members, Ed Marks, has experience with installing and repairing roofs. The leak has developed at a location where an addition to the building was made several years ago, and the seam between the joined buildings was not properly installed for a long-term weatherproof seal. Mr. Marks proposes that we purchase materials to cap the seam for a long lasting result. The Senior Center will also conduct fundraising activities to ensure full funding of the project.
Mr. Marks will use his expertise to supervise other rotary members as we install the cap to prevent further leaking. Rotary members will also check for leaks to make sure the roof renovation was successful. The success of this project will ensure continued long-term use of the Senior Center.

Inclement weather has prevented us from beginning this project. We hope to get it underway in the next 2 weeks.

After many delays due to inclement weather, the roof Project at the Lockney Senior Center has been completed. Ed Marks, whom we relied upon for expertise, is no longer a member of the Lockney Rotary Club. We had to rely more upon the Miller Enterprises Roofing experts for installation.

This project was completed earlier this year. I have attempted to log information several times into the history logs, but they have not made it into the database intact. The project is complete, and the senior center roof is working very well.
