Project Description Country: USA Location: Wickenburg, AZ Total Budget: $7,007 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: School supplies provided to financially disadvantaged students in Wickenburg, Congress, Aguila and Yarnell area Each year there is a large need for financially disadvantaged students to have the appropriate school supplies to begin a new year of education and learning. The Wickenburg Rotary Club would like to partner with the school district and community action program to purchase and provide supplies and backpacks to these students. The community also provides uniforms and shoes as well. Wickenburg Rotary Club focuses on school supplies. In the past the need for adequate school supplies reached over 293 students. This year the projection is for 325 students. PLEASE NOTE - Wickenburg Rotary Club is committed to seeing this project through. If there is not enough money to be able to receive the entire $3,000 we would request that the amount of matching grant be reduced to an acceptable number by the committee.
