Project Description Country: USA Location: Pocatello-Centennial Total Budget: $2,400 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Dictionary Project for Pocatello Centennial, Pocatello Portneuf and Pocatello Gate City Rotary Clubs This is a 2013-2014 Grant Project for Distribution of dictionaries to all 3rd grade students (approximately 2100 students) throughout Pocatello School District 25, benefiting both public and private schools. This has traditionally been done in the spring term of the school year. There is also an indirect benefit to the recipient's parents and other siblings. Note: The original grant application requested $3,900 for about 2100 students. Actual third grade student count was just over 1,000. The revised total budget is $2400 funded by a District grant of $480 ($160 for each of three clubs) and the balance paid by clubs proportional to their membership numbers.
