Project Description Country: USA Location: Buckeye Arizona Total Budget: $1,575 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: weekly readers for the 3rd and 4th grade at Buckeye Elementary School provide reading material and worldwide education for 120 students. The school is 90% free and reduced lunch. Provides education of current events in the USA and worldwide. The students get to keep the materials and in some cases this is the only reading material they will have at home. The teachers and administration are totally support this program.Club members will attend class room sessions inorder to see first hand the students and teachers using the materials.All class rooms and students are visited. The distribution starts in August and ends in May. Our club will also participate in Dr Suess' birthday celebration where read to the students.
